Salinda Rupp blocks
78, 79, 82 and 84
I wish I had more of that green in the first block on the ends, don't even remember whose it was
would be wonderful for my Mary Mannakee quilt
looking for a piecing project where I don't really have to think...
found this pile of tumblers I swapped with a few friends and though oh this would be great to just piece together...
started putting them on the wall and well not that motivating to me right now
do I just put the rest up and sew it together and have another top done?
or put it away till Jan/Feb when I will be ready for spring, even though they are saying the "S" word for tonight :)
yes I am still making hst for the ocean wave quilt, long term project , I need another 850 of them I think !

LOVE the Salinda Rupp blocks...how many do you have done Kathie?
I would save the tumblers until the cold dark days of Winter when you'll need a shot of brights. I am saving a Kaffe pattern kit that my sister sent me for January.
That material looks familiar, had something like it that i used in my scrap rug. Love the tumbler blocks, great use of scraps, something i will do someday.

Great Rupp blocks Kathie! I love that green too and if I had any I'd send it your way.
Put the tumblers away when you are ready for spring:) I'm sure you have another no thinker quilt somewhere!!
Your Salinda Rupp blocks are wonderful - it is going to be a great quilt - truly a keepsake showcasing all your favorite fabrics! Personally, I would put the tumbler quilt on hold until later. Its going to be a beauty, but save it for another time.
I have developed an intense love of tumbler quilts in the last couple of months. Love it!
Love those Salinda Rupp blocks -- your fabrics are just so perfect! And there is really nothing like a tumbler.
Pack it away again if it isn't "speaking" to you. Quilting is suppose to be fun and we all have many projects going to keep the juices flowing without working on one that doesn't appeal LOL.

Now that fall seems to be over I am ready for spring. Thanks for that burst of spring
LOVE YoUR TUMBLER blocks... ;o))
Hooray for Spring ...lol...
Thanks for showing me and remind me..:o)
Your SR blocks look great, And you OW is well on its way... Wonderful! 8-)
The tumblers... you could use them as leaders and enders while you are making other projects. Just a thought!
Only 850 more HSTs? :0) So you decided on an ocean wave quilt for them. It will be wonderful! Your SR blocks look great. I hate to use up the last little bit of a favorite fabric too.
lovelove the Salinda Rupp blocks, you must have so many made by now and they are all delectable. Hope somebody I.D.s the fabric for you, it's a honey.
Your SR blocks are just beautiful. Your tumblers are so happy.
Love your blocks......and your tumbler
Your first blocks look great. I would have never put those colors together like that. Love them.
Beautiful blocks...love the happy tumblers too!
I love the colours and fabrics in the SR blocks. It doesn't sound like you're quite in the mood for tumblers yet. Unless you have a deadline, put them aside for when you fell enthused and work on what makes you happy.
I'd bet good money that the green is a Judie Rothermel. I used to get fat quarters of complete lines from her until she started to produce them too quickly for my budget. I can dig through them if you want to know for certain.
the tumblers are really refreshing. are they 30s or just a lovely palette?
see at the show.

I love the Rupp blocks! Great fabric choices...antique quilts are very inspiring! Are you hand piecing the tumbler blocks?? They are marvelous. I've got a batch of baby blocks that I hand piece when I have a few minutes here or there...I'm trying not to repeat any fabrics- but my project isn't as bright and "happy" as your tumblers! Maybe I too should revisit my Kaffee kit I bought last year on a Vegas shop hop...now there is bright.
Will look forward to seeing your progress
Karen
The Salinda Rupp blocks look great as do the tumblers..so fresh and bright looking.
Only 850 more HSTs..gosh that is still a lot, but you will do it!..
Julia ♥
I'm going to try to keep this simple. You totally inspire me and my blog might read: Inspired by Antique Kathy. WAIT, that's not right. hee. Silly *karendianne. who thinks those tumblers are perfect "she sits and sews" for over here at Leehaven. :)
Must look up the Salina Rupp quilt - love the pretty tumblers, too - must make a quilt - one day!
Hugs - Lurline♥
I just love the Rupp blocks. I have a bolt of fabric for the sashing that has been waiting for me but I also have a bolt for the Dear Jane I haven't started . I'm gonna have to live to 150 let's face it! So are you! If the tumblers aren't making you happy I'm sure there are other things that would.
I love that ocean waves... what template did you use, if I may ask...
Ohhh... I see the Tumblers with a beautyfull applique on top of them. Can you see it?
Kind Regards,
Evy
I think I've seen that fabric somewhere...I'll keep my eyes open for it. I love your tumblers! I keep having the same dilemma with some projects that will be perfect for after Christmas...oh well I guess it's a good dilemma :)
What a great tumbler quilt that will be. Love all that you are doing!
Just beautiful blocks!!! Hugs, Mary
What a fun tumbler - I have one on my 'someday list' *s*
Hi Kathie, Greetings from Tokyo!
I don't know what a Salinda Rupp is as I'm self taught in everything & also quite new to quilting but wow!...your quilt creations seems so much work & those pretty tumblers...wow! wow! wow!
Thank you for coming by too & for your kind words. Yes, the houses are original but I have also seen many similiar fabric houses so it is a common, simple design & not that original - just a square & a triangle. Happy weekend!
this is really awesome! so colorful and lovely!
