So what do you do when you find a few fabrics that you just love the look of together?
I went and looked for a little quilt I would like to make!
found an antique doll quilt that thought would be great. Next I went and found a few more fabrics to add in. Made the center block.

started choosing fabrics for the next few rounds

oh just love the way that light fabric works with the center fabric blocks...

but I don't have enough :( . I found another one that could work

but I really wasn't happy so I put out an SOS to my friend who saved the day she still had some of this fabric that was reproduced from one of her antique quilts and she sent me a piece. Stay tuned now I can finish my little doll quilt, yeah!
more progress on the Courthouse step quilt, can you see the difference now that I added a few strips of darker lights...gives it the aged look I was going for.. hope your not getting tired of seeing this quilt yet!

Love the colours of the fabrics that you're auditioning. I just know it'll be a lovely doll quilt.

I am ardently following the progress of your courthouse steps. Love it. In fact I think I'll make a some blocks to see where it takes me. If only I had an ounce of your perseverance. A table topper perhaps?

Browns and reds and creams -- love, love the combination! and I'm like you, I keep coming back to it. Love those Judie Rothermel prints, too! Is she the bomb or what!!? :-D I used yards and yards of her Civil War Classics line that featured those reds and browns and blacks, scrumptious stuff! Got at least one more large quilt in the works using them. Tired of Courthouse Steps? I don't reckon...I'm with the others. It makes me wanna add another project to the list!
Blessings,
Mary Lou

Nope, still not tired of looking at your beautiful Courthouse Steps quilt.

But how could you show such a gorgeous array of fabrics and not provide a couple of clues about from whence they came? I recognize several but a few are "new" to me. I really love the red! So hurry up and finish!
