I picked up a few more little quilts I had machine quilted this week. I wanted to show you how great the long arm quilting is on these quilts. I love to hand quilt but in reality I can't hand quilt everything I make. I still have another 5 or 6 that are waiting for binding and probably another 12 that need to be quilted! Lorre does such a great job on these little quilts I am caving in and having them long armed so they are finished and I can enjoy them! I fell in love with the baptist fans on these little quilts, the texture it gives my quilts is great, I tried to capture that for you to see...

The red , yellow and green is actually just X quilted thru the blocks and yes she changed the thread color for each fabric, she knows me well !
the pink and white quilt is a reproduction from Childhood Treasures book, The T Quilt and the red, green and yellow quilt are just my own " designs", just made them using fabrics I love.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
I hope you all enjoy the holidays you celebrate and find a little time for quilting over the next week or so...

Lorre dies do a great job. I haven't been able to find someone to do such a good job on minis by machine. I am still (anxiously) waiting on two from the hand quilters. My favorite is the 'T' quilt. Wonder why? ;)

Your little quilts are all very sweet. Love them all.

They are darling! I think I like the pink and white one best too. The baptist fans works great with them. I would like to learn to do that by machine, but I think it would be difficult.

I am still looking at these. That Baptist fan is amazing. How far are the curves apart? Does she do several on the same backing?

The baptist fan pattern is perfect for them. And they're done! I think you are probably lucky to know a longarmer who will do the tiny quilts for you!

Merry Christmas, Kathie!

A few more finishes for the year! Good for you. They are beautiful. I usually don't like a machine quilted baptist fans, but I like these. A very festive grouping of quilts!

Your mini's are just adorable. I just bought several books and patterns for mini's and can't wait to get them done.

I do love the machine quilting on these types of mini quilts and I need the practice with my free motion. I like using hand stitch for the prim ones, I prefer the black floss for those.

I am trying to figure out how the long arm machine creates the Baptist fan quilting. It looks very good.

Lovely little quilts and the long-arm quilting idea is a really good one for quilts this size! Lorre has done a great job! I agree better to get them quilted and enjoy them than having them sitting as UFO is a dark cupboard! Have a lovely Christmas holiday season!
