ok so I am a bit obsessed with this red toile....and you know I love nine patches!
this is what will be keeping me busy this week whenever I can escape to my sewing room! I only need a few hundred more!

On my sewing table this morning ready for me to make more nine patches I always leave the sewing room with something to just start sewing with the next day, I have 12 nine patches pined and lined up at the sewing machine ready to sew. I don't have to think I just start sewing!
Looking for some decorating ideas? If you love snowmen like I do
this is the place to look! I always Love seeing Anne's decorating and home and quilts too!
do you need a good laugh...sorry Teresa this just made me laugh and I know years to come this will be a story told over and over again and you will be laughing too! (now you know I did feel bad for her and I know she knows that....) and don' t you just love that santa ornament! I do. fun fabric choices too.
Hope your enjoying Laura's antique quilt photos like I am! so much inspiration.

You were right - don't cut into that toile just yet. Ha! :) Great to share how you always leave the sewing room with something to start sewing the next day. That's good practice! (and gosh, I didn't know about Laura. Great over coffee this morning!!!)

Oh yeah, love the nine patches and I also love your tip about leaving the sewing to get, set, go next session. That toile looks seriously good.

If it's red, it's easy to love! I love your idea of always having something ready to sew when you step into the sewing room. I try to have everything tidy when I leave and that helps me a lot. I don't like to start my sewing time by having to clean up mess!

Love what you have done with Jo's new reds!

I, too, was inspired by the red and white article in APQ magazine. I have a real hankering to make one of these stunning beauties - if mine looked like yours, I'd be quite happy!! You are going to have a beautiful quilt, Kathie!

Love those 9-patches....and yeah, that toile fabric is yummy! I read Teresa's fiasco, too, and yes, she'll probably laugh years from now.....but oh, I sure felt for her right now.

I've also found if I leave something set up for the next time I can sew, it saves loads of time. Love the toile and nine patches.

Only a few hundred more, huh? How big is this quilt going to be? Are the 9-patches small?
Whatever--the fabric is lovely! : )

I just made a mini over the past weekend with those fabrics from Jo's line. Aren't they gorgeous? BTW, are you still having a problem leaving a comment on my blog? Is my blog the only one giving you a hard time?

The setting you chose is terrific! I have an antique redwork with this setting - embroidery in alternate blocks with a pieced border. Love the diagonal it creates.
