another finish, wow this is really working. My goal this year is to finish more quilts then I start. It helps to be inspired by the Christmas Through The Year group Cheryl and Darlene started too.
this little quilt will be given to my 2 year old niece for Christmas to use as a doll quilt.
the nine patches are 3" finished , the quilt is approx 23 x29" it was inspired by an antique quilt.
Hopefully pink will still be her favorite color by Christmas if not I will just have to whip up another one!

I was lucky enough to win a giveaway from Shelley of Red Quilts a book Cutting Corners and I love the house quilt in the book this might have to be the first quilt I make from the book.

there are a few quilts in here I know I will be inspired by to make . Thanks Shelley!!!
I decided this is the right size quilt for my farmhouse kitchen table ,I think it will look great on my table.
I am considering joining in the Another Year of Schnibbles quilts as those are the perfect size for my table too. It would be great to have a few quilts to rotate on my table....there are so many of the Schnibbles quilt patterns I love. If your a member of this do they give you a list of the quilts you will make thru the year so you can preorder the patterns?
Thanks...

Another wonderful little quilt!
This Christmas Through the Year is intriguing. I am going to have to check it out.
That is a book I haven't seen--looks interesting. I do really like that Country Village quilt.
Haven't done the Schnibbles thing, so I am no help.

Kathie, I love this little quilt, and all your little quilts! Your niece will love it! I am participating in Anorher Year of Schnibbles and have finished the January quilt top, Full House. On the first day of each month, they post the name of the pattern. I don't think there is a lst beforehand. Hope you join in!

The setting for the nine patches in the doll quilt is different. Unexpected and interesting. Did you make one in this setting for yourself also?

Love your little quilt you've made. I'm sure your niece will love it for her dolls.

I love that house quilt from your book you won. That's a beauty.

Love the Schnibbles patterns and have a ton of them, but I've never joined in the Year of Schnibbles bunch. But so many of them have a good look to them.

Great job on your finishes :) It's the end of January, and I'm still behind :D But so what else is new:/

Wonderful win!! How I would have loved little doll quilts when I was a child...bet your niece will still love pink..it is adorable!

As for the Schnibbles....I love to play along however my only complaint is they don't release the name of the next pattern until the first of the month. So we lose a week of piecing it if we need to order it.

Perhaps if more of us would speak up Sinta and Sherri would consider releasing the name earlier.

Your neice is going to love the baby quilt. It's adorable and perfect for dolls.

I'm so glad we're providing motivation with the CTTY club - the first month has definitely been fun.

I agree with Mary about the Schnibbles club - we do lose a week before we can begin sewing.

I love making doll quilts for gifts, too. So far, she doesn't care if they aren't her favorite color. Good thing! Your little pink and white is so cute!!!

The Schnibbles patterns are posted on the first, no list ahead of time. But they're so easy, it doesn't matter if we lose a week to ordering and they don't have to be quilted to enter. As long as we do a top, we're good!

Another beautiful piece. I am still waiting to get the stuff off my tables, so i can get in the sewing room, but at the rate they are going, I might just box the wall items for now and then I can get back in.

That house quilt will make a nice table topper, think I have something similar in one of my books, need to start perusing my books and get some ideas for myself.

I have so many quilt books on my shelves, and the temptation just keeps coming and coming.
This book is no exception. Looks great, and the house quilt looks like a winner.
I'm sure your niece will enjoy playing with the pink and white quilt. I'm betting little girls seldom outgrow a love of pink.

The house quilt is a looks like it would be fun to make. I like the pine trees. If the pink quilt doesn't turn out to be right, you can pass it along to me, it's adorable.

Getting caught up on some blog reading this evening. Should be hand quilting, but my fingers need a break. Love all the projects you have been making. Wow, you are really getting a good start on some Christmas gifts.
Always love everything you do. Thanks for so many great ideas.
