Its a TOP!!! now I just have to trim the sides, rather then make 1/2 blocks I made full blocks and I will just trim off the excess.
Maybe I will sew them together for a liberated little quilt! Or better yet maybe I will just give them to a friend to do that!
I put the little flying geese quilt up there for you to see how little it is!

are you curious did I leave the duplicate blocks in, no but after I sewed the quilt together there is another duplicate red in there, oh well, it made me smile! thank goodness its one of my all time favorite turkey red prints from the Color of Friendship line by Judy Roche and Corienne Kramer a few years ago....

NOTE: My email system crashed on Thursday ( I was using entourage from microsoft on my apple computer NOT a good idea!) I took my computer to the Apple Store they were not able to retrieve my old emails
to say the least I am devastated. All my email contacts are gone, all my pictures of antique quilts friends sent me in emails, gone....
If you have written me an email in the past week or so and I haven't answered sorry I won't be able to. unless you resend me the email,If your someone I email with please send me an email so I can rebuild my address book, THANKS.
All I can say is back up your computer right now!

I'm loving both quilts! Sorry about your computer crash - been there done that and it's a nightmare! I never knew Apple computers could crash like that! I still want one though!

Beautiful quilt, Kathie! That is such a good idea of making the end blocks full and trimming them off. Why don't I think of things like that!

So sorry to hear of your computer crashing. I have an apple computer and never thought they could do that! I'm guessing it was the 'other' program on your apple that caused the crash?

Have a great weekend!

Drooling over your new quilt top!
Ugh on the crash. I got a blue screen crash warning on my new(!!!) computer the other night but shut it down and it recovered. Seems I had some *leftover* viruses from a firewall failure the other day. All taken care of now with no impact beside a mild heart attack.

Love, Love, Love the top! So sorry about the e-mail program crashing. I also have Macs and refuse to put anything of Microsoft's on them for that particular reason. You just sealed the deal for me. Can't wait to see this quilt done!

LOVE your quilt! It is so wonderful. Are you going to hand quilt it? Sorry about your e-mail problems - technology is just grand, but only when it works!

In regards to the duplicate block...
think of it as a game for a child orsomeone young at heart to see if they can find it.
I have actully started do that on purpose on some qults.

It looks great Kathie! You don't mind the bias edges after you trim it down like that? I'd have it stretched like crazy, mostly because I'm not that careful.
Sorry about your computer.

That quilt is so beautiful, I love the color combination and the fabrics you used. Today I need to cut out my appliqué blocks, so I can clean off the table and get to work finishing and starting my larger quilts.

It is gorgeous, Kathie! I echo Lori's question--do the bias edges after trimming not give you grief?
I love quilts made from parts (if you haven't sensed that by now) so I will be very curious to see what you (or a friend) do with the trimmings!
Oh, the headache (and heartache) of a computer crash. With my brother's encouragement I recently backed up my Mac with an external hard drive. It is reassuring to know it is there.

Your top looks marvelous!! I bet it is amazing in person with all those different reds to enjoy
:0) How frusterating to lose all your emails!

I'm sorry to hear all your emails have gone. It's a good reminder to us to do a back up. I'm sure you'll soon have all your friends emailing and will be able to build up your address book again.

Oh, sorry about your 'puter. I am one of those who will cry when their pc crashes, I have nothing backed up. Oh well.It might be a blessing in disguise, a way to declutter something that we don't realize is cluttered? I love your idea of trimming down rather than adding the 1/2 blocks. And yes, they will make a fun liberated small piece. This is gorgeous!

I LOVE THAT QUILT!!!!!!!!! That is awesome. Love the colors and the 9 patch blocks. It's great!!
Sorry about your computer.

Lovely quilt. Simple blocks can produce a stunning quilt, just as easily as complex blocks.

I'll second your advice to back up computers. Earlier this month I lost 4 years of photos and documents overnight--no warning. I thought I'd been faithfully backing up all this time, but the program I used only backed up once in 2008. So stupid that I didn't keep an eye on it. I've learned my lesson. I'm now backing up 3 ways.
I'm sorry for your loss of e-mail contacts and photos in them. It's a punch to the stomach, isn't it?
