whenever I had time this past weekend I just cut up squares and matched them for a block this way when I had a day to myself I could just sit and sew!
Feels good to be making progress...I had a great day just sewing away on the machine yesterday. I totally lost track of time I was so focused in making all those blocks! it worked, stay focused and you can accomplish what you want! I have to remember that!~
I just love red, green and cheddar quilts, don't you???
I can't wait to finish this quilt and start hand quilting it.

I'm thinking - what a fabulous long table you have - I want one! Hehe!
Great way to prepare your fabrics and it worked so well. Looks fab! Hurry and get the top done cos I want to see how you hand quilt it!
It's about squeezing in little tasks to make the project move along even when we don't have that much time. Loving your red, green and cheddar project.
Love it!!! You're right about staying focused... when I manage too I also make great progress on my projects. The only problem is taht I am too much focused on the computer most of the time!LOL

It's looking great! What color green are you using?
This is going to be a wonderful quilt and yes, I do love those colors together!
It is going to be awesome Kathie!
Yes. The color combo is perfect!
Love the colors of that quilt - it's so striking. That is one long table sister - that has to come in handy in so many ways. Your always an inspiration in what you get done. Its amazing how those little snippets of time can add up to getting lots of cutting done - I need to do more of that

It's a beauty, for sure! What color will you be using for setting triangle--or do you know yet?
L-O-V-E those colors, especially together.
Simple or traditional quilts are my absolute favorite and this one fits right into that category. It's going to be another winner, Kathie.
Your color combinations really are fabulous. Love this quilt already!
Yes, I love the red, green and cheddar together. The green sashing is what makes the quilt. I see a rogue block in the mix.
I love the colors you are using and I do like that design.

Oh...I love the happy piles of red and cheddar...we have a similar method in sorting fabrics for blocks! I'm so glad you had a day of sewing to yourself...those are too few and too far between in this quilt cave. I've got a couple of projects cut and ready to go when I get some similar time. Thanks for the color inspiration!
In stitches,
Teresa :o)
Your progress is amazing, how great to have a whole day in the sewing room and lose track of time...heaven!!!!!
You have a fabulous, logical way to organize your fabric cuts. This quilt is going to be made quickly and simply, with a maximum amount fun for you, playing with the colors and fabrics. Those 3 colors together just scream antique. They're screaming happily and in unison, of course, as they look so good together. :)
Looks great...love how each block looks a little different because of the values of the red and cheddar.
It will be a very fun project to hand quilt. How big will it be?
Kathie, would you email me, please? randyiris@gmail.com
