A quick finish last night...
I was cleaning my sewing room yesterday and found this little quilt I made at least a year ago
the blocks are 3" finished. It really needed a border, I don't always put borders on quilts. I find many times they just don't need them. I looked in my closet and looked and instantly pulled out this fabric. I love this fabric for borders! Civil War Homefront by Barbara Brackman for Moda
I had bought probably a 1/2 yard at first and used it on another little quilt a few years ago and loved it, searched for the fabric again and bought a few yards, I hope I never run out of this fabric!!! wishful thinking but its nice to know I can use it again on a few more little quilts.
Really odd to wake up this morning and come into my sewing room with nothing on the cutting table ready to go and such a clean sewing room I even took everything off the bulletin board ...truthfully it feels great! a fresh start, hmmm what will I start today, almost feels
like the first day of school.

Love your little quilt! And yes, that border fabric is perfect. I know what you mean about a sewing room all clean and ready. While I'm sewing a project, it is a total catastrophe, but when I finish a project, I force myself to tidy everything up so that when I enter the room the next day, I have a clean slate. Enjoy the start of the next project!

I know what you mean about certain fabrics. Sometimes I love a fabric so much that I can hardly even stand to cut into it. And I hate it when it is all gone. I can't claim to have a super neat sewing room, but when we returned from our weekend trip yesterday, my sewing table was totally clean from when I was quilting before the weekend. It looked great! Now, however, it is a mess. I had some ideas last night and I was pulling fabric for a table runner and floss for a couple new cross stitching projects. You must be an early riser to have already blogged. I get up early also and love to get started doing a little sewing before I have to start other chores.

Awesome finish! I understand what it is like to have a fabric that makes you happy everytime you use it. You just unlimited supplies of it. That`s okay though there will be another favorite in the future...LOL
Have fun starting a new project can`t wait to see what you decide to do.

I wish my room was as neat and tidy as yours sounds. I try but have too many things going at once. The little bow ties are so sweet! Cute little quilt.

It's funny how we get attached to a certain fabric. I have a piece of red that always seems to be the exact shade I am looking for. I'll have a hard time when I finally run out of it.

The Bow Tie is my most favorite of all traditional blocks. I have made more than I can count for gifts for guys. But I have one for myself, too. However, I have made them without borders in the past, so now I must do another with. Yours is utterly charming!

Your bow tie quilt is sweet. Some fabrics you just wish you had a bolt of and others you wonder what you were thinking when you bought it. A clean sewing room, now I don't know what to think of that but it will be fun to get it messy again.

Wonderful little quilt! I have a tiny piece of this border fabric left. I am also sad when I run out of a favorite fabric...but then I go shopping to cheer myself up!

Brown is the perfect frame for the little bowties :0)! Adorable.

I do hope that "cleaning the sewing room" inspirations hits me soon and hard........I have no clear horizonal
spaces left...it might be time :0).

Happy Sewing

Your bow tie quilt is darling. Isn't it great to walk into a non-cluttered sewing room? That hasn't happen to me in a long time!
It's a new day for you, new ideas, new enthusiasm. Go for it!

I've only made a few little quilts and finished them. You inspired me to make little quilts Kathie. Your wall of little quilts would inspired anyone to make them. Thanks for sharing such treasures - Hugs Nat
