My 12 blocks for the past week...I am just loving these little blocks, they will finish at 4"!
here are all the blocks so far.  I am just putting the blocks up the wall, they are not laid out the way they will be my quilt.  Its fun to move them around right now.   I am using the fabrics from the scrap bags I talked about in this post here....still amazed at how much is in each one.  This quilt is going to probably made from the scrap bags I bought and the strips I have already cut over the past few years of 1.5" strips!  I am sewing and trimming, not paper pieced.
Here is the scrap bag I am cutting from today, I hope to make another 12 blocks today.
Hope your finding time in the sewing room today as well...

Aren't you glad I told you about those scrap bags? I don't think Homestead Hearth expected such a big response when they told you they had plenty. LOL. I ordered a few more and they are delayed due to the high volume of orders. But they're worth the wait.
I love your small log cabin blocks. The last scrap LC quilt I made had 1" wide finished strips. Your blocks make those look big.

I have serious quilt envy!! I've always wanted to make a log cabin, even long before I started patchwork. I think yours has a bit of an optical illusion, it seems like there are more pieces per block than there actually are. Love it.

I love log cabin quilts. Yours are so cute and tiny. I made a log cabin top in august last year, still to bee quilted.

The blocks look great. I need to work on mine again. I started these a few years back and still do not have enough for a large quilt, which is what I want to make. I have tons of strips, it is time to get started again.

Just love your little blocks! It seems to have been the weekend for making Logcabin blocks! I made 16 x 4" blocks too, all from scraps! I see that you are continuing making more, for a bedsize quilt?, good for you, they are so addictive and I just love how they all go together so well, the more variety in them the better they look!!!!!

I love log-cabin with red center too. The first time I saw it was an antique quilt at Victoria and Albert Museum in London. I wanted to make one ever since - Yours is gorgeous...

Log cabin blocks all over the web, but the smaller, delicate ones like yours are my favorites.
Thanks for the hint about the scrap bags--as if I need any more scraps. I have 2 or 3 headed my way. Looking forward to seeing what's inside. It'll be like opening presents :)

I have been collecting 1" strips of civil wars for about 1 1/2 yrs. now. I have considered starting my log cabin but know I should wait a bit longer. Seeing your cute little blocks is making me kind of antsy to get started..thanks so much for sharing!

I am incorporating the scraps I got in my bag into a couple of mini quilts in the works. Such fun.
Love these teeny log cabin blocks. Wow--how large do you think you will make this quilt?

Love, love, love tiny log cabins. Yours are wonderful, and o so tiny!
After your last post @ the scrap bags, i ordered one. Haven't posted on the blog @ it yet. I used several pieces in my 18x48" applique wall hanging. I love most all the fabric I received. I weighed the scraps & also weighed a one yard piece of similar quality quilting fabric. As you & others have said, there are some relatively large pieces of some of them, even 3"WOF cuts. I estimate i got @ 2.8 yards of scraps. Most selvages were on the short end, so i'll get at least 2.5 of usable fabric for $15 (including postage.) It is fun having so many new fabrics. Thanks for the heads up!

And, I like that first picture of the 12 blocks--would be a great doll quilt. Love the asymmetry of the 12 together.
