made a few more blocks for my log cabin quilt. I like to take pictures of the blocks so far to help me decide what colors I need to add and what colors I need to stop using for awhile! I made my 12 blocks (thats the goal) for this week, actually made 23 since Sunday!
It is fun to add them to the other blocks on the wall. Now I feel as if I am making some progress. 99 blocks done, I only need another 301 blocks! remember they are only 4" finished ! for an 80" square quilt.
So are you inspired to make a log cabin quilt now too???? BE WARNED making these blocks are addicting.
took a break from working on these to start another little girls doll quilt , this will be a top by tomorrow hopefully.

Looking good!
Oh it's looking so good Kathie! Yes, I should get crackin' on a log cabin. Do you use muslin or any kind of foundation under your logs. Mine tend to get a little caddywampus if I don't :-(....but that's just me I'm sure ;)
So LOVE the log cabin!
WOW you're busy!
I started one a million years ago. I guess you're going to make me work on it, huh? Your loggies are wonderful!!
Really love the log cabin!
Great progress with your logcabins!!! Just love the little pink ninepatch too, very sweet!!!
O can't believe how many of those small log cabins you will be making. That will be one incredible quilt!
I am amazed at your productivity!! Still love those little logs.
I want to tell you that your blog is my favorite of all that I follow. Always so much inspiration!

You are a speedy gonzalez with those blocks!! They really look wonderful!!
Little blocks look so much prettier than great big ol' blocks. It's hard for me to make anything over 8 inches anymore.
Love that log cabin quilt, Kathie.
Do you cut the strips ahead or as you go? Only 301to go, huh? I admire your stick-to-it-ness! It's going to be a beauty!
Ohh My Goodness...only 301 to go!!!
How do you keep your blocks so straight? Do you use spray starch on your fabric?
It is going to be magnificent!
I haven't made a log cabin in years. Yours is definitely inspiring!
As always, you making quick work of the log cabins! Love the way it is coming together.
I really don't need any other addiction! LOL... but I find the Log Cabin blocks absolutely gorgeous and versatile... the possibilities are endless. Your quilt is looking great.
Kathie, this quilt is so tempting! I'm sure you've said but how wide did you cut the strips? I may need to have a go at this!
I am working on a log cabin but my blocks are 16inches!
Beautiful log cabin blocks, that will surely make a dent in your stash! Log cabin is on my wish list but think I might whimp out and make mine a bit bigger!
Years ago, when I first got into making quilts, it was suggested to take a Polaroid picture of quilt blocks so you can distance yourself from them and get a better feeling of what changes might need made. Or to use a peep hole thingamajig like is in a door. It is so much easier now with the digital cameras and computers.
Loving your log cabin - cant believe you're making them at 4 inches!!
Log cabins are my very favorite, love yours.
Ahhh, 4" Log Cabins - I'm there, sister!! After I moved to Oregon I found a box of scraps "too little to use and too big to throw away!" And the fabrics were all my favorites, the ones I couldn't bear to toss. So I pull them out ever so often. Right now I have over 200 in progress ... and probably that many done. I AM debating one more round to make them a giant 6" block!! Decisions, decisions. Great job on yours - makes me want to get back to them. doni @ Oregon coast
Such tiny blocks! They are so cute.
I love little blocks too, but to make 400? WOW!
It will be a great quilt!
You never cease to amaze me. That log cabin quilt is stunning!
I love making small blocks. This is where my husband says, "With all this fabric you should be making 12" blocks." (Sigh) Love your little log cabins.
I love your little logcabins but not ready yet to jump in and make one :-)....someday it will happen.
