I decided to go with a different pattern using these two fabrics. I love making this little block
remember last year I did it in red and white, here is the pattern for my block. They are little! The whole block is 4" and the little quilt is 18 3/8" x 18 3/8ths.
Well, then I decided to just go ahead and sew the little quilt together. Its graphic and modern.
I will be donating 12 little quilts this year to a charity for children this year. some little girl will love this for her doll. Pink and white is so classic. think I need to make another one or two using this same fabric combo!
go check out Cheri's completed's little quilt too~ spend the weekend making little quilts!

What a great charitable idea! Any little girl would love either of these doll quilts.
lovely!
That's a really neat design. It kind of plays tricks on your eyes, doesn't it?!
how generous and what cute quilts.
I love them both and that's a great idea to donate the one you're not that crazy about! You're right, someone will LOVE it!
Adorable idea, Kathie. Will make a little girl very happy.
"spend the week end making small quilts"....hmmmm :-)
Very fun little quilts, Kathie. Nice of you to do a dozen donation doll quilts.
I love Cheri's finish. I am booked with quilty events today, so I won't get to it right away, but I'm anxious to finish mine, and I want to see what you concocted! : )
Sweet little quilts, great for Giving Quilts.
That's what I love about quilt making, there are no right or wrong designs. It's all in the eyes of the beholder.
Both quilts are very very cute.
Really cute new direction, though I agree, the modern one will catch someone's eye just as much!
I love them both. I need to sit down and make some of these. Hugs.
2 lovely designs for those pretty fabrics!
I might try some of those little pinwheel blocks. Thanks for the pattern Kathie.
So cute and so Valentiney! I love how your mind works!
In stitches,
Teresa :o)
Your little quilts are both so cute and so fun! What a great idea to donate to that charity! What little girl wouldn't want a pink and white quilt for her doll?
Ooh I love the pink and white together! Im making those top blocks at the moment, they are so much fun. Yours look divine. xo
Both of your little quilts are adorable. In love that you used only two colors. Very sweet!
My log cabin is one of my favorite quilts (still) I would pick up fat quarters of fabrics that I LOVED and threw them in a shoe box in the closet for months. When I pulled them out to start, there wasn't a single one that got removed. I should do that again *s*
