This is probably my favorite quilt I have ever made.  I just love this bird toile  and well red?  Do I even need to say anything else????

I hope they keep reproducing this bird toile for years to come in red!
Don't you think this quilt already looks like an antique quilt , which you know is always my goal with every quilt I make., so tell me do you agree???
I just finished sewing the binding down so happy now I can finally use this quilt.   This quilt is for ME!
I very rarely keep a quilt for myself, sorry I just can't part with this one even though someone asked if it was for her....
9" blocks
81" square.
Think I need to shop for some more bird toile :)

"Instant antique" -- that must be an oxymoron--two words that don't belong together. But this looked like an antique the instant you finished the last stitch, Kathie. It's lovely.
Toiles are at the top of my list of favorite fabrics, and this red one is stunning. Gorgeous job all around. Good girl! Keeping it for yourself!

Michele said...

Kathie, I'm loving this quilt too. I've used the bird toile as a border on another quilt, although it was the darker version. I love this version in red and white (or is it cream). I'd better go on line and find some quick, before it's all gone.

That turned out just beautiful!! Unfortunately, I won't be getting any of those fabrics, am on a non-buying spree as I promised hubby. He is hoping to see a dent in my stash; but I will have to do lots of quilting to make it obvious lol.

I love any fabrics usually with birds, but this happens to be one of my favorites...i have used it in the tan n at least three quilts. I am now getting ready to use the red and cream in a quilt project. Red/white is always a winning color combo.
