Indigo Crossing fabric by Minnick and Simpson I have been waiting for this line to come out for a long time!!!!  remember this post, go look at their quilt made with this fabric line, just beautiful.  Here is the quilt I knew I wanted to make as soon as I saw this fabric line.

aren't the blocks just fun?  bright and light compared to my normal quilts!
One of my goals was to make a few more 2 color quilts over the next year or two...

This is the quilt I knew I wanted to make as soon as I saw this fabric line.  I hope mine has the same look like the antique when I am done, will add in a few more beiges, hmmm maybe even a few tans?

This book is American Quilts in the Modern Age 1870 - 1940 The International Quilt Study Center Collections.  Edited by Marin F. Hanson and Patricia Cox Crews,  This is such an amazing book I bought it a few years ago.  Many Antique quilts and history in this book, Beautiful antique quilts.
Linda made this quilt in red and white that was amazing you can see it in her Quilts in the Barn exhibit.
This book Making History Quilts and Fabric from 1890 to 1970 by Barbara Brackman  Has the same quilt on the cover , this book  has a pattern  for a quilt inspired by the antique as well. My quilt is not the same size as whats in the book. I went with the size I wanted to make the blocks and the border well I know will not be the same.
Hope your finding time to sew this weekend too...

A simple but spectacular design, especially with just two colors.

It is going to be a very personal quilt.....the sort I like. Not a lot of interesting quilts here in NZ where I am for a couple of months.

Don't be suprised if you'll see my version of it one day. White and blue are our favorite combination.

Love all the quilts you and Linda are making. Two colored quilts stunning! What a great way to use some of that fabric we have stored away!

Beautiful indigo fabrics there. I want some! Getting distracted :)

Looks so fresh! Are you using only fabric from that M&S line? Unlike other colors, I find that sometimes blues are difficult to mix.

Love the blue/white quilt in Barbara Brackman's book! Yours will be gorgeous in the M/S Indigo line! Too many lovely quilts to make and not enough time to do them all!!
